The easy way: ArtCraft Launcher
The ArtCraft Launcher (v0.2.0, released 10 Oct 2026) is a small app that installs any of the Craft apps, picks the right build for your computer (Apple silicon or Intel, x64 or ARM Windows) and updates them in one click. The project recommends it. Download it from getartcraft.com/apps or its GitHub releases.
Standalone installers
Every Craft app also ships its own installers on its GitHub releases page. File names follow one pattern, appname-version-platform:

Each release includes SHA256SUMS.txt. On macOS, shasum -a 256 file.dmg prints a checksum you can compare.
The ArtCraft studio app (AI image and video)
The original ArtCraft app is a separate download: v0.41.0 (26 Sep 2026), ArtCraft_0.41.0_universal.dmg for macOS 12 or newer and ArtCraft_0.41.0_x64-setup.exe or .msi for Windows 10 64-bit or newer; 8 GB RAM and 2 GB of disk are recommended. It needs a free account because the AI models run in the cloud. Get it from getartcraft.com/download or GitHub, or use the web version on Linux.
If an app will not open
- Windows, app flashes and quits: a known crash on some AMD drivers caused by the OpenGL backend. Set the environment variable
WGPU_BACKEND=dx12(orvulkan) and launch again. Documented in the FilmCraft README; the apps share the graphics layer. - macOS says the app is damaged or from an unidentified developer: the official builds are notarized, so this usually means a corrupted or third-party download. Delete it and download again from GitHub.
- Linux, drag and drop does nothing on Wayland: documented in the VectorCraft README; use File › Open.
- Linux, tablet pen moves but does not draw on KDE Plasma 6.3 with Wayland: a known issue in the VectorCraft README.
Questions
Is there an ArtCraft download for Linux?
The Craft apps, yes: AppImage, .deb, .rpm, Flatpak and tarballs. The ArtCraft studio app ships only macOS and Windows builds; use its web version on Linux.
Is ArtCraft on the Mac App Store or Microsoft Store?
No. Downloads are from getartcraft.com and GitHub. The macOS builds are notarized and the Windows builds code-signed.
Do I need an account?
Not for the Craft apps. The ArtCraft studio app needs a free account because its AI generation runs in the cloud.
How often are new versions released?
Very often right now. Every Craft app published a new version on 11 October 2026, and several shipped three versions between 8 and 11 October. The Launcher updates them for you.
